Refuge Taphouse: craft beer and wine bar in Victor, Idaho

Craft Beer · Wine · Bottle Shop

Twelve rotating taps and three doors of cold ones to go, on the corner of Main & Center in downtown Victor, Idaho.

The place

“This is a place so small you can't help but speak to the person next to you, and that's the point.”

Brian Mulvihill, owner

Refuge opened in August 2022 as a communal room in the style of the old European corner bar: somewhere the town runs into itself, locals and visitors share the counter, and the talk is mostly about what's in the glass. Brian grew up in the Pacific Northwest craft beer scene in Bend, Oregon, and it shows on the board.

On tap

Twelve lines.
Never the same twice.

The chalkboard changes by the week, sometimes by the day. Valley pours from Citizen 33 and Guidepost sit next to the best of Oregon and Washington, Belgian classics, and whatever's worth the drive. Ask for a taste. There's something on for literally anyone.

Every August

The anniversary party.

Refuge has thrown itself a birthday on Main Street every August since 2022: live music, cheap pints, and half the valley on the sidewalk. 2026 was a year off. Nothing tastes as good as Refuge feels.

“Nice little spot. A good selection on draft and the rest canned or bottled. I had a hazy IPA that I could have drank all the way back to Florida.”
